pretty sure your car would have the peugeot sourced HDI engine while the newer clubman would have the compact N47 based engine. the power delivery is poles apart and the N47 is a much better engine

    old one

    new one

I may be an "old fart" but I don't agree with "canning" a car that someone has loaned to me, albeit a large dealership. I had a new company car every 2 years, for over 30 years and I always treated it like it was my own.
    Just my opinion......

Isn't this thread a year old? In which case by this time the car will be in the hands of an unsuspecting (unless they read this) 'proud owner' in the Fort William area...
Or am I having another one of my 'ELF Moments'?

...and I agree with you too. That's the main reason I didn't point out it was an old thread.

    Aye Right...
At least I wasn't imagining things - apart from the Kylie bit

On a more serious point, what would actually worry me more are the tales you sometimes hear of employees having a wee unofficial 'joy ride' in your motor while it's supposed to be safe at the dealer or garage for some work, which can sometimes end up in tears - or in a hedge So it can cut both ways.
