    David - you're a star !

I've just got a new iPAQ 5550 and am ready to get TomTom 3 bluetooth and cradle - your install looks fab. I'll give you a call in a couple of weeks for advice.

The only prob I have is the heated front screen - does this screw up the GPS ?

You must have on mother of an alternator to cope with this, the Mini iPod and no doubt a few other gadgets.

I would avoid the bluetooth GPS receiver as I have heard some horror stories about it hanging up and generally very problematic, requiring some annoying switch on sequencing. Go for the wired version would be my suggestion.

The place to look for all the info on using Pocket PC and GPS is PocketGPS

I have heard that the heated screen in the MINI doesn't appear to degrade the GPS signal. My other car (a Renault) has a windscreen film that reduces heat and that almost stops the GPS signal completely.

Guess you are joking about the alternator - these things take very little current indeed.

Certainly contact me if you need any further advice or help.
