    I found another article that said it is possible to fit the new box without going to the bother of removing the pillars etc. I'll try that first!

    Yeah i thought that seemed a bit OTT, will try before removing the pillars also.

    Advice from Paul Mullet:
    Here is how he did it:
    Removed single torx screw.
    Took out current piece angling it through the gap behind the down tube.
    Put new one in basically the same way, angled it through, being careful not to mark anything.
    Clip into place.
    Massaged the lip under the gearleaver section.
    Replaced screw.
    Put in rubber mat.
    Took about 5 minutes.

    Well, that is it fitted - bit of a struggle but got there. Just the job.

    Well done !!! ordered mine last weekend but going to the Scottish mini weekend on Saturday so i wont be able to pick it up till next week :(
