cars chugging and engine light on

    Help my minis sick

    A few weeks ago i start noticing that the car wasnt pullin away right it had a wee stutter, was ok once up to speed and drove fine but if istopped at a junction and pulled away again same thing !

    on my way back from the cinema last nite the wee engine light came on !!

    any ideas???

    Could be faulty lambda sensor which is sending incorrect info to the ecu and putting your light on.. Is it the eml light ??

    yeah its the eml light !

    had the 2 sensors changed in the last 18month

    Hmm.... they are a common fault.... Next thing it could be is something to do with the ignition system (spark plugs, HT leads etc...)

    had a servive just b4 xmas will get Rab to have a look at it

    get someone with a code reader to plug it in, possibly a plug lead breaking down or needs new plugs. they arent known for EML coming on but when they do its normally a plug or a plug lead. if it is a plug or plug lead the reader will prob say something like misfire on cylinder 2.
