Mate of mine is having issues with his 2002 Cooper S in that the air bag light wont go out. After resetting the light it comes back with the flowing fault code “ power supply from battery module 1”

Can anyone shed any more light on the route cause of the airbag light coming on???

Can't comment on the fault code itself..

But I had a prob with my last MINI, early 2001-2004 model. Usually its the wiring loom under the seats, they have dodgy connectors on them. At the time MINI said they could fit a different wiring loom that was meant to fix the problem? I just got my light reset and secured the cables and connectors with some tape as best I could, seemed to do the job. You have to be careful and not put items under your seats or move them back and forth too much!?

Could also be a faulty BC1 module, they were prone to water ingress
