Have booked my car in to be checked at my Mini Dealer next week as I’m having problems with the Gear Lever Selector on my R50 as it is very Stiff / Sticky - Side to Side Motion Only...

Have read that it might be the linkage and once sprayed with WD40 rectified the problem, Have any of you experienced the same problem...

All information and advice very much appreciated...

The linkage can suffer with ice on the cables, but if yours is a pre-facelift it could be the midlands box dying

Feet were made to fit car pedals. If we were meant to walk, we'd have pogo sticks for legs

Will be a facelift R50 as its electric blue. When the colour was moved over to the one and cooper hatch it coincided with the facelift.
I would also suspect the gear linkage

    Hi

Forgot to give an update on this, so just in case others have the same problem...

A quick spray with WD40 on the gear linkage rectified the problem and since this was done I have not had any other problems...

Thanks for the feedback and information supplied...
