I opted out of the full install, tried the game and it crawlled!

    Doing install now.

First drive was Lambo, amazing graphics.
Now spending time getting my licenses and bought a Suzuki Swift to get me started.

Started off with a Civic Type R. Not too bad. Winning most of the beginner races. Now bought myself a nice Cooper S in "leather blue". WTF?

Can't get online. Keeps saying no connection to the server or something. If that continues it will be ditched. Not really into racing games but if we can all race online i would persevere with it.

    Jurys out for me.

So far so good. The intro is pretty cool and the online seems to work quite well for it being brand new. Its good that you can choose your garage cars for online. In GT3 network play you couldn't - not sure what GT4 was like on network. My first online race was me in my civic against a Zonda!

I'm liking the return of the history on the cars. GT4 only showed a brief scrolling bit but theres a lot more now in GT5.

A bit slow through the menus at times but hopefully that's just teething problems.

Well ive not tried it online yet so cant comment on that, but have been doing my licenses and got my B and A licenses so far, next is the iB (International B) then the iA and so on. the only decent car I found for my 20,000 credits in the 2nd hamd car section was a white toyota celica 2.0 and its pretty good, but have since won some other sh!te wee cars and bought a couple more including a Cooper S (I mean we have to dont we...?)

The special stages etc that top gear track one with the VW buses, those things are so feck!ng SLOW........

Saw that, not got that far.
Do you eventually get the top gear track released and is there a susuki Liana or other acceptable reasonably priced machine that there could be a NMS Lap Record Comp?
