I am not sure who is aware of this or indeed has it on their R56. When I handed my car back and Allan was going over the new car and explaining it all he showed me that you can pull the levers on the rear seats to fold them flat. Now no mystery there but if you just push them forward about a foot or so there is a lever that pulls out that flips up. This allows you to pull the seat back but it stays in an upright position and gives you a squared off boot area to allow much more space. I had it on my R56 S but never new.

I'll have to keep this in mind.
There has been a few times when I’ve filled the boot only to have to put a bag in the back seat, I know no biggie but I’d rather have put it all in the boot as the car was parked a few times with the bag there before i got down south.

Just that wee bit extra would have done it, as I felt if I had closed the boot the parcel shelf would have been pushed.
Mini as it was. As it is. As it always will be. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's up to you to decide if it counts!
