My power steering pump has died on me!! After looking online I came across the watchdog 09 programme, called the telephone number for BMW customer service they gave but was told that because my car is over 6 years old that they could not help in anyway and my best option was to find a mini specalist to repair the problem, not a BMW service garage as they would charge a lot more for the same work.

Does anyone know the bast place to get a replacement pump from or how to contact?

Any advice would be great. x

That's a pity they won't offer anything. I did the very same thing when my pump failed at 4 years old but because inhad already had a rack & column fitted under warranty BMW paid for the pump & asked me to pay £90 odd quid to fit it. I would pester them again to see if they could offer a goodwill gesture on a part that is a known problem
