will r56 mats fit an r53?

    Been offered some bmw new mats for the Mini, but they are for the R56, would these still fit an R53 or is the interior very different?

    My mate tried to put his R53 rubber mats in his R56 and they wouldnt go. Wrong size.
    Im presuming it wont work the other way round as well.

    I can sell you a set for £20 nearly new - Rubber mats with a bit of carpet by the heal on the drivers side...
