Button Brawn GP 001

    read yesterday about the legal battle between Button's management company and Mercedes.

    Button had written into his 08/09 cotract that if he became world champ they would had him a free gratis Brawn GP 001 chassis.

    He won, no Car!

    Aflter the lawyers got together the offer of a mock up was placed on the table, Button refused. the say they didn't have the spares to build one!

    Any hoo, Button is now awaiting delivery of a fully fuctional Brawn GP 001 chassis F1 car.

    Thast some winning bonus!

    Yeah, it is. Bear in mind he gave up the vast majority of his salary as well as most of the perks, private jets etc that were previously available to him in order to stay with Brawn, but a $1m car is a hell of a bonus

    And hasn't he made the most of it!

    Fair play to him. I think the issue with the car is that Mercedes didn't want to give a car to him now he was at Mclaren in case they nicked anything from it design wise.
