Rattle

    My mini has a rattle that sounds like its coming from the handbrake/gear lever area. It happens when turning right and coasting.

    I can't seem to pin point it as pressing on different areas dont seem to make a difference. Anyone had a similar rattle?

    It sounds like a big rattle if you know what I mean - rather than a squeak.

    it's not from underneath Ally? as thats pretty close where a plate is bolted onto the underside of the car near the centre which covers over the exhaust... Maybe one or more of the bolts is loose...

    hmm, you know I was kind of thinking that. Maybe something has come loose when the exhaust was swapped back over. I'll have a nosey underneath tomorrow.

    Got the exhaust checked out and it looks fine. Not sure where to look next but they suggested checking under the gear lever gaitor
