After todays amazing run and seeing everyones cars and the shine some people manage to attract lol. I have a question...

Ok now i know its black and black is probably the worst colour, but how the hell....it would appear to me that the guy i bought my MINI from cleaned it with a bloody brillo pad or soemthing. Its all 'swirlly' to ****!!! and no matter what I do i cannot get rid of these swirls/scratches whatever they are and whatever u wana call them! Its fine provided the sun does not shine on it! As soon as the sun shines on it, it actually looks like it has been dragged through a carwash of brillo pads!

Its always been like this since i got it and have no idea what the guy done to it.

Is there anything I can do about this? I need help

Now i'm the last person to advise, but, if it's as bad as you say then it'll probably need a power polish.
Ian King will give better support though and may be able to help

Yeah like Alan said it will need a machine polish to get rid of these.

It is impossible to remove them by hand due to the tough ceramic clear coats that MINI use. If they are not too deep you could hide them with the likes of autoglym super resin polish then seal that in with a wax. It will only last about a month though.

Yeah if it’s really bad get it machined polished there is a great guy half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh that does it.

I’m sure it was this guy I talked to a few months back.

    A few more in here!

Its probably just the last owner was using the old sponge routine on a dirty car. Sounds like he was good at cleaning the car but just doing damage every time.

Failing the Machine polishing, Autoglym polish has a lot of fillers in its polish that hide swirls, might be worth a try first.

If you want your car looking its best get over to Detailing world for any advice….

Mini as it was. As it is. As it always will be. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's up to you to decide if it counts!

Ok cool, I thought that would probably be the option I'd have to take. I will deff look into it as it drives me mad. I use autoglym super resin polish often but it never seems to do the job fully. I will look into some of those links and deff consider it.

    Cheers guys

Super Resin Polish wont remove the swirls, it contains lots of fillers and temporarily hides/masks some of the light swirls. Its actually a great product, if polishing by hand i'd definatly recommend as it will give you decent results.

Really to remove swirls as others have said you'll need to machine polish it
Check out detailing world if you fancy a crack at it yourself Think Savs got the linkies to it.
