50 years of MINI at Silverstone is now less than one WEEK away & the web page has developed somewhat since first launched :

    Run Notes

    MINI United 2009

Also on Silverstone's Official Site :

    Silverstone

I have spoken to Craig & invited him to adopt the 'advisory position' so that his invaluable experience on such epic run's can be leaned upon

    Shedule

    Leaving Bothwell Services @ 07:30hrs

Abington 'non splash & dash' TBA

Pit Stop at Southwaite Services @ 09:00hrs

Lunch at Huntleys of Salmesbury @ 11:00hrs (breakfast menu finishes 11:45am)

Pit Stop at Norton Canes Services (M6 Toll) @ 13:30hrs * Remember £4.50 for the toll*

Arrive Northampton @ 15:30hrs approx, ahead of THE rush hour/s

Current plan is to convoy down on Thurs 21st May getting to Northampton/Silverstone area around 15:30pm for the first overnight stay (heck we might even grab a beer or two). En route we will have the usual pit stops but safe to say we will be popping into Huntley's for some nosebag. For those who have not been before, feast yer eyes HERE. I have also posted on Northern MINI that we are en route down & opened up the invite to join us at Huntley's for some scran or join up with us for the rest of the route.

Friday 22nd May - Go to Show

Sat 23rd May - Go to Show

Sunday 24th - Show again, then long drive home getting back late.
(I will not be part of this as I am going to head off to visit family in Hertfordshire on the Saturday evening, but Stoney has kindly offered to get everyone back up the road safely)

    Suggested Hotel is HERE

If you select the Best Flexible rate, then you can cancel it up until 4pm on the day you arrive, it's only if you select Advance Purchase rate that it is not cancellable. This puts the price up to £222 for the 3 nights. (Still good value IMHO)

I'm only going to be living 50ish miles from Silverstone so put me down as a definite for this one.
