Head Units....

    Ok folks, just wondering... Are dvd,TV,sat nav etc etc head units worth the money and if so which are the better models,i.e Alpine, Kenwood, pioneer??

    Thinking bout maybe getting sat nav unit for my old lady possibly depending on cost of course...

    Occasional MINI driver....... but mostly Uma Thurman ;0)

    Sat Nav through a motorised screen is very good, then adding things like TV etc are more for show, the TV only works in certain areas and only your passengers can watch it whilst on the move, same goes for the DVD, very good for those long journeys down south for MINI runs

    I'm more than happy with my setup, best ask mikeythemini for his advice on which is best

    One thing I really miss from the last car is the Sat Nav. As for the TV, I only used it occasionally - in the car wash, some traffic jams but the receiption varied greatly and I wouldn't spec it again tbh.

    Of course, if you ahve kids and are getting DVDs in the back, I could see the point of that. Othersiw, just for show IMO.
