The old boy went last year and the year before and said it was great. He took plenty pics and it looked amazing. He was at some fancy dress 1930s do down there as well.
That's the revival - I'm going to that later in the year.
The FoS is awesome. I was standing next to a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo rally car and this bloke wandered up and started talking to me about it. It was Rene Arnoux. Gobsmacked. It's that kind of place. We nearly got flattened as we were rummaging in our bags for something and this scrum of people came straight at us - led by Alonso who walked past and smiled at us. That was when I liked him
The bike are mad, the F1 boys really play to the crowd - Coulthard drove up the hill, all the length of it, in 1st with his foot on the brake and his right foot planted. Cue massive amounts of wheelspin and the most amazing noise - these were the last of the V10's and they sounded incredible.
That was until the Aston Martin Le Mans cars came out...
If you've never been, it's the most amazing event. The revival is coming up in September, very different event I think but everyone has to see the FoS once.
Enjoy ;bigwave:
