folding mirrors

    has anyone had any r56 in with a groaning noise coming from the folding mirrors , mine has just started making some weird noise, also my fag lighter does not work , and my car is going through one hell of alot of petrol compared to my previous saxo..

    Mine have sorta motor noise dont no if it should be any different

    yes i have the motor noise coming from both but on the passenger side it is now making some shuddering sound aswell

    I didn't go for electric folding mirrors on my R56 S... but, does anyone know if the door mirrors can be manually folded by holding/twisting by hand? The user manual doesn't say so specifically, and I haven't tried myself yet. On previously owned BMW's I have been able to do this.

    yes the mirror can be folded over by hand.
