Problem with my One D

was driving to work this morning and the engine just died on me 4 times. Each time the EML light came on in between the fuel and temp gauge anyone got any ideas:question:

if it is still under warranty I would book it in asap...:(

if it is out of warranty, maybe someone else has had this problem...

I had something a little similar with my car for ages so got it checked over just before my warranty was up and it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump relay.

What was happening for me is I would drive along the road and then stop at some lights or the end of the road and my revs would just drop and the car would almost stall out and the EML light would come on then all would be normal again after a second.

Could be something like that but I've no idea. I never had the engine cut out completely. Mine's not a diesel either but I'm sure the fuel pump relay would present similar issues in either kind of fuelled MINI.
