Hello
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...20c1fe6c92.jpg
Hi,
Was at knockhill on Sunday and all your glorious minis gave me a renewed desire to sort my mini out and get it back on the road.
Currently have a 2007 R56 cooper a auto with a stretched timing chain. So although it still runs (just), it is very sick. The garage I took it to wanted £1000 to put a new chain on and I couldn't justify the cost. So I'm going to attempt it myself.
Wish me luck.....hopefully I'll have it ready to join you on an outing sometime soon!!
Cheers
Garry

Welcome to NMS Just had the timing chain done on my 2009 Mcs no way you should be looking at £1000 I got a discount because my dad is in the motor trade but the full timing kit from BMW is £170ish and the Labour time is supposed to be less than 4 hours so if you get the parts yourself should be looking to pay maximum of £400 at a garage. Hope that helps
