I think for me the best solution is to wait a year and pick up a clubby sub 30k when the hype has worn off and the dealers throw tons of contributions/offers on.
Whether I can hold off my itch to switch though is another question...
I just couldn't rationalise that amount of money on what is effectively a daily hatchback, those are mental prices IMO
I agree. Especially since you will instantly lose most of your money the moment you drive your car away.
Since buying my last car new, I said I won't ever do it again. Yeah the 3 year warranty and no mot is nice to have... I do all my servicing and fix my cars myself anyway so it's not an issue.
I'm surely not the only one that looks at these new "MINIS" that are playing on the word mini, when they on wheelbases equal to VW Golf, S3 and such. Next gen MINI will be size of M5.
Maybe I'm just jealous as I also can't justify spending 40k on a motor.
An interesting write-up in Autocar today about the JCW 300 Clubman against the new M135i and A35 AMG. Especially interesting seeing how it compares to the 1er considering they share so much of the same underneath.
