-
loverly looks like a fab day
-
Looks like an awesome day out! Maybe get the rents onto this for my 21st :D
-
Nice one Neil, looks a cracking day out, not jealous at all, no way, no sir
-
That look amazing it must have cost a fortune to do all that, but I am guessing worth every penny.
-
That looks p!sh
-
:thud: that looks like an awesome day out Neil, and like Greig said that could not have been cheap but must have been worth every penny...
I have wanted to do something like that for SO LONG NOW!!! An NMS trip to Silverstone in the future is forcast I think :yes nod:
Did you get to use the new section of the track then Neil?
One day I will fulfill this dream

Now there's a great idea. :yes nod:

That does look very good fun.
I've always been tempted to go to Palmersport, I'm slightly obsessed with the JP1. It's VERY expensive though (about a grand for the day)
-
aww, that must have been loads of fun.
I done the Knockhill Rally event and the Xr2 and single seater event which was great. The single seaters are the best as you get so much feedback and can see your wheels right on front of you.
-
Looks like you had a great day :thumbs up:
Good photos :thumbs up:
-
That looks awsome! I've done a track day in a V8 Vantage and it was nuts, but those are some 'real' cars you go there, the GT3 and the Ferrari...tastey! Cost a pretty penny too but i'd love to do what you've done!

I've done that very same thing at Knockhill. Got in the single seater and it started to snow!

I was having a squint on the Silverstone website, and if you do a corporate day, you save about £100 and costs around 599! First question is, would an NMS dayout group booking class as corporate and could this been a cheeky, yet expensive run to fill the void until the next Mothership run :D?
-
The Challenge Day was a Christmas Prezzie from Lorna , I know it cost around £700 but worth every penny [£599 plus vat]
A Trip down as a group would be great as it is something I would definitely want to do again
Neil
-
That Rally stage looks great, Always wanted to blast a car round like that, just not my own.....
-
I bet it was a crap day out and not one you would like to do again:frown:
Thats what I'm telling myself:argh:
You LUCKY LUCKY BAR STEWARD:yes nod:

How big was the track that you got to use, I take it it wasn't the full international circuit?

We got the old Grand prix circuit for all cars except the single seaters which we used the new Stowe circuit, its just a small track alongside the Hangar straight area.
Don't think they wanted us to get out of sight in the single seaters.
The new Grand Prix circuit hadn't been driven on yet so wasn't available.:ragin: Maybe next year.:thumbs up:
Loads of construction going on all around the track gonna be impressive when all finished.
Neil.:D

Awsome! I think for what you got, its was money well spent. I did my track day at Teeside Autrodrome, and the track was pretty small, no more than a minute a lap. To drive all cars (911, M3, Exige, Gallardo, 430, V8 Vantage and Impreza) was about £450, which compared to the caliber of cars, variety and time you got is pretty expensive to me!
-
The one BIG thing thats always put me off these things apart from the obviuos price issues is the fact that you only get one or maybe two laps in each car etc so you are not in the cars for very long, so the only other way to try and beat that and get bit more time in them is to try and find a circuit with a bigger/longer lap, but that aint easy, so feels like a no win/no win situation... :frown:

That looks like it was an awesome day Neil with some fantastic cars - very jealous :yes nod: :thumbs up:.
I did the Palmersport day at the Bedford Autodrome a few years back and it is still the best fun I've ever had driving a car - words can't explain how good it was and I'm sure you feel the same way about your day at Silverstone. I got to drive a Caterham 7, Porsche 911, single seater, Jaguar JP1, Clio Cup race car and Nissen 350Z - spun both the 911 and JP1 off the circuit  and did a 360 in the 350Z (complete with smoking rear tyres ). Thankfully, it was a corporate invitation so I didn't have to pay a penny .
