Cheers guys!
Yes Julz it does seem to have gone a bit quite on the Porsche front:I I'll give him a phone tomorrow :p:D:approve:
Looking good :D
Ta much people, it's getting there :D
*******Newsflash:D*******
Spoke to Keith today and the bodies should be with us early next week:approve: The wheels should be here next week as well so it looks like I'm going to be busy next weekend...........the missus will be happy about that - NOT:blackeye: :p:D:approve:
Sorry to be a pain (although I always am so you should be used to it by now) but does that include mine??:p:D;)
Don't think so Julz:blackeye: His words on the Porsche were 'its a bit more of a challenge, but we'll get there':p His problem with the Porsche is that the wheelbase has to be increased by 18mm:blackeye: His plan is to add 6mm into the bonnet, roof and tail sections to make up the difference. I'll keep you posted on any further developments;) :p:D:approve:
Cheers me dear!!:)
As I know all of you (apart from BS;)) will want to play with these as soon as they arrive, you better get in a supply of 8 AA batteries:D these are for the transmitters by the way :p:D:approve:
You mean they werent included in the price!!!!! thats outrageous! :pQuote:

Mine almost wasn't a surprise thanks to Nenah!!;):D
sorry just quick question. what is the distance between the center of each wheel arch front to bk. as a mate is looking for a mini shell but has a different make of car. wants to know if they would fit on
The mini shells are based on Tamiya's M-03L chassis which has a wheelbase of 239mm (that's wheel spindle to wheel spindle ;)) If he has a standard 1/10th chassis (257mm) these bodies will be about 18mm too short:blackeye: Hope that helps :p:D:approve:
In true Big C mode :I are they ready yet ;):p
The other thing is the 'M' chassis is not as wide as a 1/10th scale chassis, so the wheels will stickout a fair bit (I've tried one on mine, it won't fit! :()Quote:

What do people think? Would look good with the chrome shell. The wheels are machined out of aluminium - and are definitely BLING!!!
Oooh the yellow ones! THE YELLOW ONES!!! :DQuote:

Funnily enough I was thinking that myself. But I havent seen my wheels yet with going to Kuwait and now DNV's misses is using them as plant holders ;):D.Quote:

Just read the guys description of the wheels on ebay - and loved his disclaimer "They are for battery or nitro cars..These will not fit full sized cars .I know that sounds daft but I have been asked many times..."
Big G, will these fit our chassis then? And is the buy it now price a good one?

http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...8114_thumb.jpg <--- My wheels (definitely not venoms!!!!)
Ahhhhhhh I feel better now as your wheels look nowt like the vile vomit inducing venoms. [XX(]
Get the yellow ones!!! :D
The tyres in the pic of your wheels have the profile of an after eight mint by the way!
Yeh the 12mm hex.is the norm these days so they will fit:approve:Just swap the tyres round when you get your's;) Price is good as there is another guy selling alloy wheels for £45 on ebay. I take it these are now off the auction mini list of wheels to chose from;)
My vote goes for the purple ones:clown:I think they would go well with the chrome paint and they come with dummy disc brakes which are cooooooooooooooooooool :p:D:approve:
They are not much better in the flesh - maybe two after eight mints, that have been squished a little bit :DQuote:

So far voting stands at
2 votes for the purple ones (No2)
1 vote for the yellow ones (but there are 2 yellow ones!!! :D)
Ahhh fair enough, although the yellow ones come with discs too. It's just a pity the wheels are minging. ;)
Julz just seems to vote for anything purple :p:D:approve:
Obviously I'm going to vote for the purple ones!! Silly question! Then when I get the chrome mini home, I'll nick the wheels and put them on Robs porsche!!:p
Ok so thats 3 votes for purple and 1 for yellow - think I can see where this is heading then.
Big G - do you want me to get the purple ones from ebay and send them on to you?
