I played this for the 1st time at my nephews & liked it. I notice there is a new version out.
If I buy that will I be able to play you lot or do I need 4?

Most of us are "experimenting" with COD 5 (World at War), with mixed results. It looks like it's a game that grows on you. The maps are huge and the weapons are - obviously - not modern ones, so it has a different feel to COD4.
I suspect for the next few weeks we'll all be playing COD5. If/when we get fed up with that, I can see us drifting back to COD4.

I'll still be playing 4 when i get home, i'll obviously be trying 5 out, but, not so sure it's gonna have the same appeal
I'd get both if you can. Just as Andy says they are very different in feel. I like the maps more in COD5 but the weapons and such in COD4. So far I'd say 50-50 between the 2, both have good and bad points compared to each other (One of them being the amount of camping spots for Mr Stone in COD5 :p).
well i think cod4 will be the one we will play most online but i think we should do the co-op online game in cod5 think that would be fun
are we playing to night if so is it cod 4 or 5 ??? not played all week :eek::eek:

I can only manage Monday night around 9pm, but, it sounds like a good idea.
I've only played COD5 once, running about like an eejit and gettin nowhere fast, but, looks good, i think that some of the maps are way too big
Sounds a good idea Grant. We haven't had a team game for a while... This week I can do Wed, Thurs or Fri evening.
Oh, and COD5. I've all but ditched it. Boring, maps far too big and nothing like as atmospheric as COD4. I'll play along if others prefer COD5, but COD4 is a hundred thousand times the game of COD5. All IMHO.

Gismo is away from (I think) Wednesday. So after that he's out of it. I guess Rob hasn't been checking the thread or I'm sure he'd have piped up about when he's free. This week for me is Wed, Thur Fri only. Working again Sat, Sun, Mon.

Great game last night. I think I may have to appologise for my over use of the RPG, especially to Gismo who I think I may have peaved off with it. In my defence though I am only at level 6 and have very little perks, no red sights, claymores etc... Although I did get Andy with a cracker of an RPG shot :p.

Well I finally have a red dot sight. I should never have given up my XP. Will have to work my @ss off to get claymores but think I'm doing well with the RPGs.
