Personally we love the auto boxes in the S. Not sure I'd have a Cooper CVT again, especially as there seems to be a reliability issue with them.
Her indoors would not be disappointed in a Cooper S auto (R53 or R56).

I had a wee look at that car when I was buying mine in December - but was a bit over my budget...
Got myself a 55 plate Checkmate instead.
