Home now and washing vast deposits of Yorkshire off the car. What a fantastic few days, and how quickly they went... Firstly I wanted to repeat what we’ve all been saying, a HUGE Thank You to Clan Harper for all their usual hard work, and all the extra which went into the Awards Night. Thanks to Davy for his excellent quiz, but seeing as how I’ve obviously lost my mojo, I’m requesting 70s Prog Rock and Military History rounds next time! Sorry Cat, almost forgot the excellent and quite vicious B... Bingo!
So good to see everybody again, it’s as if we stopped the clock after HBT 4 and just picked right up again where we left off. Magical. Lovely to meet some new faces, including a very small one! Also very glad Malcolm & Sioban were able to join us via the internet if not in person. That was the only ‘minus point’ in this year's tour... Next year folks, all present and correct!
Sad that this is our last time at the Grainary, which was the perfect location for our annual ‘Family Holiday’, but times change and I’m sure everybody will agree that it’s ultimately the PEOPLE who make the memories, and we can make more wherever we are. Hope everyone gets home safe and sound, Love & Peace to all.
ps Stone Chip Update: 4 new ones! Can’t think of a better way to collect them, it’s a Badge of Honour!

For once the weathers didn’t get the message that we where visiting, but it didn’t dampen the spirits and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say it was a great time full of the usual laughs.
Big thanks to the Harper’s for the organisation and keeping us all in line, not an easy job. Special thanks to Megan for the awards night, I know how much effort you put into that and it really was brilliant (and no I’m not just saying that cos I got an award...).
Thanks Davy and Cat for the quiz and bingo, interesting twist this year on the quiz to keep things fresh, must remember and bribe the quizmaster next time for a suitable round.
Special mention for the smallest member of the NMS family, no not Elfman, but wee Arwen, hardly heard a peep from her, such a smiley wee one. I’m sure she’s going to grow up and be a racing driver, so another lassie in your life Ali that’ll be quicker than you ;)

Cracking photos Andrew, so I’ll let you off with the ‘small’ remark! (It’s also true). I’m always hopeful somebody’s going to start using that ‘Taller/Slimmer’ lens in my photos - and not the mirrors in the Scarborough Fair entrance hall...
Just realised I entirely forgot about the weather!!! Proof that it’s what we did rather than the conditions we did it in. Also must mention Christine’s “Half an hour” comment about our Rob - this year’s “Oooh Matron!” moment, taking its place alongside Malcolm’s all-time classic ‘Tranny Incident’! Memories...

A huge thank you to each and everyone of you for making another very memorable HBT. The weather wasn’t the best but we didn’t let it dampen our spirts. Yes it may be our last year at The Grainary but it will definitely not be our last Tour.

Just want to say thank you for a brilliant week... Enjoyed every minute of it and met some great people. Thanks so much to everyone - especially Brian and Christina and William and Megan - for making me feel so welcome. Looking forward to whatever is in the works for next year [emoji16]
Well all I can really do is echo the comments made by everyone else so far. It was a slightly different tour this year with everyone looking forward to “The Oscars” and it didn’t disappoint. An excellent evening and a lot of laughs, tears and memories. I don’t want to repeat what I said on the evening as it’ll have folk in tears again ... but thank you to all those involved in making it another great trip.
Congratulations to all those that won an award ... and hats off to Pete who was this years quiz winner with William a very close second.
A massive thanks to The Grainary and the staff again for all their hard work and it’s been a great 5 years. Who knows what next year will bring but fingers crossed something can be sorted ...
