Thanks Stewart. I will use this when I get back to my desk at work. Where did you get it from btw, do we have it in a better resolution?

I like it. Not keen on the mirror caps
It was just taken off the net, I take it someone just just traced a larger picture to get the right outline.

I like it and the scan square could be dropped for polo shirts etc. However is it only representative of one model?..........debate.
I think it would be better if someone that knew their way around Photoshop copied the idea and try and get an original of quality for the Car shape.

Top job - its a :thumbs up: for me . As Malcolm says, drop the QR square for clothing and it's a winner :)
It's got to be an R50, hasn't it? The original 'New Mini'. We all had one at some point, didn't we? This site was founded upon the R50, and I don't think R53/R56/F56/Z56 will ever be looked upon as fondly as the R50.
The site started with the R50, the first run was for the R50. It's got to be that, no?

That's it without the mirror caps and QR code.
I don't want to be credited for this logo. I simply combined Stewart and William's designs and used my amateur photoshop skills to put it together.
Hopefully someone with better skills than I have can sort it out from here.
I agree it should probably be an R50 but I'd like an R56 on my R56...perhaps it should be put to a vote?
All white letters except the S
Is that not like the guy who painted the last bit on the titanic saying – "Your welcome but I have to say the ship is not my all my own work"
As I said it needed someone to play with the text, you adding that wee touch “S” red went down well! After all I think the consensus was that the NEWMINISCOTLAND.CO.UK had to be in place. As you can see on page 9 came back with the same results all be with the QR. :thumbs up:
A quick attempt at all white. Don't think we need to change or vary the model. It looks like a Mini to me. All white + red S will save on printing costs.

Think we have got one contender for any vote anyway. I was thinking the Purple behind tint's could get lost.
Instantly recognisable as a MINI and clean looking….
I like what I see so far but would like to know what size do you intend to make these stickers, as the QR code would have to be a decent size for any mobile phone to scan, I personally would drop it and keep it simple, shape of Mini and web address along the bottom says it all... :thumbs up:
Stewart I take it this logo came from Photobucket, I've clicked and dragged the photo and got the info for it but the dimensions aren't big enough for me to give it a try and if I try to enlarge it all goes pixelated and can't find a larger jpeg to work with and you would have to watch regarding copyrights for who owns it, and as you say would be good if we copied the idea to get an original for quality to get the car shape, might give it a try later... Great work by all so far to come up with what we have on offer... :thumbs up:
I know what your saying Gordon and I'm kinda with you although that last design looks very good....
That will also be cheaper to embroider as it's only 2 colour and that's what costs (ie no of colours) :)
Can someone do a Gen1 logo the same as this Gen 2 one and see if there is a big difference ?

Just thinking white outline would be lost on a white T shirt . Then again, I don't like white Tshirts as they always look grubby after a couple of washes, so doesnt really worry me.
Seems to me we are talking branding here. No need for the .co.uk to be included I don't know of any company that includes that in their brand logo nowadays. QR on stickers and litature sure but not on clothing that's just stupid. Newminiscotland surrounded by a mini is enough no need to make the s into the cooper s shape that just limits the demographic of the logo.

Even just as a Coop owner I like the wee touch of red. As I said you could play with Text all day.

Well done gents looking good - personally don't think need co.uk but would defiantly keep the red S. I still like the existing car stickers with just the web address which I would probably have in addition to this as see this more as a logo.
I like those guys good effort I think it needs the .co.uk IMO
Like it with the red S think the out line is good as it is
How about the out line that is the mini. make it a mash up of all the mini styles a bit of that hatch some of the coupe throw a bit of the clubman finish with a bit of the countryman and paceman see what it all looks might be the next mini model.

Well, that ends that debate
As I work for a graphic design/print company, I have sweet talked one of our designers in the studio to give me the outline as a vector so that we can scale it to any size required. I won't however ask him to do anything until we've finalised what's happening. Hope that's of some help.
I think it needs the .co.uk, after all that is our product, we are an online community who meets up to go for runs etc?
If we are wanting to keep the purple, why don't we have the outline of the Mini in purple? It will also add contrast and highlight the actual name of who we are with the white text.
Now that I see it, I don't think I like it although it is pretty rough looking.Attachment 4586
^^^^^^ that's against a grey t shirt will look

Prefer the white.
Do like Stewart's new "Hummer" Mini.
What about it BMW? It's a market your not in and as with most of your other variants, size shouldn't bother you.....lol
Under Tints the Car will be lost too much in my view or at the very least you’ll only notice it up close. My inside NMS sticker is hardly noticeable until your close up and in a way I like that it’s not in your face. On the other had Paul’s Northern Mini stands out as its bright silver both inside my rear Tinted window.
But for me the Purple is just over doing it, bringing another complication into the mix for just a sticker. On clothing it would probably work fine.
How about clear/white background, purple outline and black and red lettering? Think it's difficult to get couloirs that will work well as a car sticker but also for clothing. Maybe an overall emblem that we can change colours to suite different situations if possible?
Re the font of the words could these match what mini use on the back of the cars and could we use the style of D they use. Ties it in with more than just the S then.
Just thoughts and feel free to ignore.
Good idea on using the same font as the Cooper badge on the back
I like the white better. Not to keen on the purple, and for a sticker on a window I cant see it sticking out much. Would an idea of being able to get the sticker in a multitude of colours not work to cater to everyones tastes such as white, red, black, purple, blue etc etc as what is done with the current sticker. This could also be an idea for thsirt and tops etc so everyone has a colour they want.

Although the text has been spaced, I still think it needs the .co.uk as per my previous point. But as others have said, perhaps we can have different colour options available for folk also.
Agreed it needs the .co.uk
This is my favourite. It looks balanced whereas the one without the .co.uk doesnt

Keeps a bit of the colours of the last logo and our web colours but is instantly recognisable as a MINI.. :)

I'd drop the purple as I think you wont see it on a sticker behind a tint, ( Is there a version with it on the go just now?) just look at the difference from Ali’s post. On a shirt or Tshirt it would be fine. I'd still keep Neil's “S” touch added to the original idea’s. But I too like the .co.uk. as there is too many media formats these days, we could be a Tweet club ( never have and never will tweet) . The ”co.uk” more or less say’s we are on the Web with our own site come take a look.
