I love your Monaco Tag Euan, such a great looking watch. Also have to echo what Derrick said about your Seamaster, simplicity at its best, just a shame I couldn't quite afford the Planet Oceans!

They've gone up so much in the last 4 years it's rediculous. I got my Monaco on a very good deal and before the price went balistic, same with the Seamaster. The Seiko is second hand, and my Hamilton I picked up for much less than half price when my local jeweller was getting rid if the stock - timing is everything!
You can still pick up a Planet Ocean for OK money second hand if that's an option for you - just need to buy from somewhere respectable. I really like them, my mate has one (with a black bezel on a leather strap) and it's stunning.
Or if it's the look you like, some of the Seikos look similar for not massive money - have a google for Seiko SKX007 or the SKX009 - they're both on my hit list. Or the Monster that I have can be had with an Orange face (most of them are actually Orange, I wanted the black one). They also do a version of it called a night monster, goes for a load more money but it's all black - black face and bezel, and the strap is usually metal too. I like it a lot!!
Stop it immediately you two! Let's not go there again.
A.:D
I've been playing about with the camera trying to get a decent photo of my Tag - this is one of my better efforts and I hope you like it :thumbs up:.

Now, how did you do that? Great shot! I can never get any kind of decent shot of a watch!
Did you use a tripod? What's the camera?
Thanks! My camera is an Olympus E-420 with the 14-42mm Zuiko lens - it was mounted on a tripod and set on macro mode, no flash, 2s delayed shutter to avoid camera shake. The watch is sitting on a mirrored wall tile with a Mini Clubman accessories brochure stood up behind it . I used natural light coming in from a window to the right - I've found that using direct light from a flash or spotlight is not helpful so I like using natural light and a slow shutter speed if necssary. I've tried using a small light "tent" but haven't been too successful with it so far - need to try some more with it as many people swear by them.
It is incredibly clear, nice shot. I’d love to drive up the West Coast and take my time taking pictures with a tripod and quality DSLR. I always rush my pictures with a compact.
Forgot that i hadent put up any pictures of my watches. So are some pictures I've took today. Ill start off with my Briel with Carbon Fibre face

Well I got hooked by this thread, as much as I love my old watch it was breaking down more frequently then ever and driving me nuts.
So I decided to treat myself for making it through Uni and get an Automatic watch. I started off looking at Mondaine watches but in the end I decided to got for a Tag Carrera Calibre 16.

mmm lovely baz.
Do they not just tell the time?
Beautiful watches Baz and William. I love the fact you and your dad have matching watches with a slight difference William. As for yours Baz, its a favourite of mine, due to seeing it every month being held by either Lewis or Jenson on the inside cover of my Top Gear mag!!
Geez......and they say there's a recession
Poor students eh!
Works for us, we're still young enough to be a formula 1 driver:Whistle::Whistle:
Ha ha, only joking mate! I think being a Tag fan, anything would sell it for me. Actually, thats a lie, I seen Leonardo DiCarprio in a picture modeling one and didn't even really check the watch!
Ahhh...watches my other vice
Haven't bought any for a while, but the current collection is:
Rolex Datejust 16200 (owned for 12 years)
Panerai 005 "Logo"
Jaeger Le Coultre in gold (1960s -not sure of the model)
Seiko "Monster" Black dial
Seiko "Monster" Orange dial
Seiko Sport 5 Black Titanium Asian Market Ltd Edition
Some old shots from 5 years ago with a Nikon 8700 and a couple of workshop lamps for lighting :frown:....

mmmmm not sure if I should post this as it kinda makes me the pauper in this thread. Not really been into watches as couldn't wear one due to the type of job I used to do (delivering furniture TV's washing machines etc to much risk of scratching something) so I just have a cheapo work watch and "good" watch

You might remember my Citizen Eco-Drive with the brown leather strap:-

Well, I changed the strap to a rubber diver's strap and it has transformed the look of this watch. I wanted to wear it more casually and the new strap seems to fit the bill perfectly IMHO . Hope you like the new photos.

Like the look of that on the new strap, completely changes the look!
Have to agree with the others Del, the watch looks mucho better now. I'm not a fan of the croc straps if i'm honest, but now the watch looks awsome!!!
