Easy way to confirm that, take a pic of your mileage before you stick it in to the garage.
I've done it out of curiosity when I go offshore, just to check my mother's actually driving the car while I'm away!

I always check my mileage when putting my car in for a service
I now check my mileage as my brand-new Coupe done 80 miles in 2 days of the garage having it..... I was NOT happy. I also heard one of the BMW employees wheels spin a customers in the wash bay Area! Yet another reason not to let them wash my car...
As for "canning" I am the same, I treat it with care as its not mines plus I've already wrote off a brand-new courtesy car... Someone hit me whilst parked :( however I will say that BMW don't care, my boyfriend test drove a BMW 1M(£50,000 car), the M power manager took him out and told him to boot it... Needless to say the boyfriend was glad to get final build slot of the 1M rather than that specific one...
Totally agree, none of my cars have EVER gone into any garage without me taking a note of the mileage, and I supply a note of the work agreed to be carried out - to avoid confusion - and I include the mileage on the day - just so everybody knows I know!
This is a good idea, I've never thought of doing any of those. I must be far too relaxed a person.
