Critics reviews vs User reviews, looks like its taking a bashing!
If its plays well and is fun then I'd be happy....

Played a fair few games today.
The main thing that hosed me off persists in this game, namely the lag issues.
I can accept that a lot of people are trying the game so, this will be my last day of play, will try again in a week if still the same ill be trading it in.
Took ages for some of us to get hooked up into a party and then it was a nightmare trying to play any games
yep not overly impressed will give it a few days or so and see how i get on
I liked it but the lag was the issue for me. Though every Call of Duty has suffered on the first few days due to the number of people playing. I remember World at war, you couldn't even get online. MW2 was also laggy. I have no memory of Black Ops. Ususally within a week or two things start to run fine.
Sorry Gismo, I tried saying bye last night as I needed to go but I don't think you could hear me. Didn;t want you to think I just left without a Cheerio
I was playing last night for about an hour and a half and I have to say I liked it. Gismo and I had connection problems which is frustrating, but perhaps not unexpected on the first full day of release. Once Gismo left and I was on my own I had no connection problems at all.
I didn't find the camping was any worse than MW2 or BO. One of the maps in particular lends itself to lots of camping and that was frustrating, until I though 'the hell with them, if you can't beat them, join them'.
Certainly, so far I prefer it to black ops. Looking forward to getting my rankings up and getting more guns, add-ons etc.
If the lag problem is still there for Gismo I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. But give it a while and see if it settles down. Also, you should try MW2 or something like that, because if you are still getting a lag on that game - when you can only assume most folk will now be on BO or MW3 - the problem may not be with PSN, it may be your own line. :idunno:
A.:D
We were both getting lag last night. I'd most certainly put that down to the vast amount of people playing on day of release.
I'd still think it's down to the PSN or the COD servers in general when we've played. Just due to the fact that when Gismo hosts a private match we get lower connection speeds and lag. When one of us hosts then it's reversed. Must be the distance from which we're playing at that's causing it. Setting up a VPN may solve the problem for private games but hell if I know how to do that.
Gismo has been nice enough to join us and put up with the lag rather than make us all suffer so he can get a good game. Just a shame we can't all get it running without lag at the same time.
I played for a while lastnight but my broadband is shocking and I got fed up with it.
Today my connection has improved and so has my play, at the moment I still preffer the old game but I think it will be good when you know the maps better and can sort out the campers.
I have now got revenge on, this directs you to the last person that killed you so you can get even.
Playing today, its ok but im sure will be more fun with friends and a bit of banter too.
I now have my NAT type set to OPEN
i will be on soon for a few :)
