Restart your router. Mine hangs when it's trying to join a game sometimes, I reset the router and all is well. It doesn't bleep mind you, but it's worth a try.

What Andy says is best but do you perhaps have another computer on? If so, turn it off then do what Andy says. Do not switch the other computer back on, then try the PS3. If this works then it could be Malware on a computer taking up bandwidth or something else.
Also I have heard that sometime the PS3 can be a bit funny regarding the wireless connection so if you can, try with an ethernet cable if the above still fails.
If your router has updated then you may require to open a port try the below link.

Also I suggest trying a speedtest to see what happens with and without your ps3 on your network.
Let us know how you get on. :thumbs up:.
Oh and go to http://uk.playstation.com/help-suppo...ware/download/ and download the latest update. I know you may already have this but possibly it has become corrupt so you may have to wipe and replace. I posted a how to a few pages ago in this thread for updating via a keyfob, just follow that.
Yeah where is Gordy?
 hes starting the excuses already and hes not even joined us yet!! :hand:
PS3 works ok, the blu ray drive is goosed.
Noticed online it is a common fault, phoned today and I will have a replacement tomorrow foc.
Hey Alan. I had a problem the other day. I tried playing the Dark Knight and I kept getting cannot read media type error. I rebooted and it eventually worked but this has happened a couple of times. It's the 60GB model I have, what model is yours?
Ok, got Jase's PS3 hooked up, but, i can't pair my headset :frown:
I'm sure i'm doing everything right, headset is on, i'm in scanning mode on the PS3, but, nada, nil, zilch, nothing :ragin:
Do i have to do something to the headset to put it into pairing mode?
Doh, sorted
Good games, i used Jase's console last night, Zimbo made a good few cups of tea :D
New console arrived  updating the formware and then i'll have to download the maps :thumbs up:
Just missed you guys, am on now for an hour :knife:
Anyone on tonight?
Just wondering if anyone would be up for this but how do you feel about one night playing through all the maps from start to finish? We can setup what game type to do on each map and vary it and also decide if it's any weapons, demolitions, knives only etc... on that map.
I'll probably be on, but, will be watching a bit of the footie first
I think I'll be on. But not sure when or for how long. Not very helpful I know.
A.:D
Some great games tonight.:thumbs up::clap:
Alan, you need to stop crying that we're using illegal guns and get one of your own:rolleyes:. You see the carnage it causes.:yes nod:
A.:D
Those were some shots, and TBH, for one of them, I couldn't even see you, I just knew you'd ducked in behind that building - figured what the f***.
On a more serious note, it's just one part of a weapon, and is one that is available to all. It's like the camping snipers in some games. I know we all bitch about them, but they are just playing the game the way they want to. As much as it's annoying to be killed by an enemy you can't see, we have the option to camp and snipe also, or amend our game tactics to get the little buggers in their camp.
Alan says he prefers skill over pot luck. This is from the guy who a few weeks ago was telling us to use an MP5 and not aim, just run amok, shooting from the hip. Where's the skill in that?
Like Ferengo says, those two grenade launcher kills I got with him last night we very carefully aimed virtually from one side of the map to the other.
The last thing I would want to do is piss someone off so they don't enjoy playing the game any more but it didn't stop me when FergusM and Ferengo were planting multiple claymores around a map. You learn to step a bit more carefully where you're walking.:thumbs up:
A.:D
Dinna be daft  of course it's annoying getting killed by that particular gun, just a bit of crack calling it a cheating gun.
It's up to whoever to combat it's use and creep around stealthily knifing folks
As for shooting from the hip with an MP5, there is skill there, you get sights when you fire and you place them on a close target.
I've learned that with the shotgun, if you don't aim and just shoot in the direction it's more deadly but you need to be more precise. It also doesn't slow your aim down. It's works for the uzi too :D.
I used to like the claymores and use the M16 all the time but seeing Andy with the grenade launcher, made me think "I'll give that a try" so we can all blame him :D. Although I did get a taste of my own medicine last night from MrP which means "game on" on friday MrP "game on" :knife: :p.
