Window closure problem

Car has had a new window regulator but is now operating oddly. Usually, when the door is opened, the glass lowers by about 1cm, then raises by the same amount when the door's closed.
Now, it does much the same but the amount of movement has gone from 1 to about 4cm. Is there any way of adjusting this?

You’ll need to recalibrate the window. Put the window down and hold the button in the downwards position for 8-10 seconds and then the same for the window up
