I have just received my GP back from the garage and im very pleased with the work.
I had my front bumper, wheel arches, back bumper and the boot handle colour coded. The work was carried out by C.S Autos in Edinburgh and they charge between £800-£1000. I had a discount as i knew the owner. There work is very impressive, no dimples and looks the way i believe Mini should have made the GP - standing out from the crowd!

See pics at Mini2 (http://www.mini2.com/forum/john-cooper-works-gp/131836-mini-gp-has-now-been-colour-coded.html)

Very nice.:D Best looking GP I've seen yet.:D

If it was me (and I know it wasn't me, but just if it was...) I might have colour coded the arches, skirts etc, with the roof colour. And maybe changed the wee vents in the rear bumper to black or red, like the mirror caps.:approve:

hi and thanks for the comments. I did actually consider making the bumpers etc the same as the roof but decided against it because i wanted a smooth and blended in finish. I think it should have come colour coded in the first place. The GP just dosen't look special enough, looks as if its driven through a halfords isle!

I know what you mean, and you're right, it should have been colour coded from the outset. Would have been another reason to set it aside from other MINI's.;)

Just checked with Herny Bros. in Glasgow and they are unable to colour code the arches.Does anyone know of a reputable garage in the Glasgow area that does ? Ta.

I know it is not in Glasgow, but not a big drive to Menzies in Stirling, they have done the colour coding for quite a few members...(Scottiecoop, Andy P, Crombers, MarkyC) (not on GP's but the job is the same..)

They might not be big on the paint side, who knows, but the servicing dept at Hillington are 5* :approve:

CS Autos in Edinburgh is the place to go if your needing ur arches painted. They will do a quality job and leave the arches dimple free. I got mine done and its perfect

they dont give a warranty as such, but there an honest garage. if you had a problem i wouldnt imagine there would be a problem taking it back. Ive used then twice now and have friends who have used them in the past with only good things to say about them
