Arbroath is having a sea-front flying display by The RAF Aerobatic Team The Red Arrows and the organisers want our MINIS there toooooo....:cool::cool::cool:

Plans are in place for a major transport themed event to be held at the towns Victoria Park on Saturday 3rd July and I have been asked to invite you and your MINIS to be part of it.
A roped/barriered area will be available for the cars to be displayed in. Security will be provided by Stewards and the Police.
We plan to invite as many vehicle associated clubs and organisations as possible so if you are a member of one or know someone who is - please tell them to get in touch. My shop tel.no. is 01241 879504 or email to howard@seafront.org.uk.

The Arbroath Business Association has agreed to sponsor a lunch for every NMS driver at a local eatery.(No its not McD's!!) and its strictly NMS members only!



John Clark MINI(Dundee) have already indicated they will participate in the event and will have a MINI sales stand. They have also offered the Russ Swift ( www.russswift.co.uk ) to doing his thing!!! Other dealers are to be invited as well - the more the merrier!

A Seaking Helicopter has also been requested to "perform " with our lifeboat.

I'll hook up with the Convoy at Dundee. Time wise we need to remember that the WHOLE road from Dundee to Arbroath is one massive road works with 40 / 30mph speed limits all the way so will take a bit longer than usual.

So this would make it Glasgow --> Stirling --> Perth --> Dundee for a convoy by the looks of things. Just a matter of working out the time to get to each stage.

45 Minutes fine does it from Glasgow to Stirling. Anyone know the time between the rest of the stops?

Maybe time to start a list of who's meeting up where in a seperate post. If nobody has any objection I'll kick it off and keep the first post updated with everyone who's meeting up.
Need to leave the route from Stirling onwards to people with better local knowledge though :)

There would be no problem as far as I can see as long as both clubs did not arrive at the park at the same time. All other Car clubs other than newminiscotland should be in place at the park no later than 10:45am.
Our convoy will leave Focus Carpark around 10:30am which allows us 30mins to arrive and park. Russ Swift will begin his display immediately after we have parked up.
I will update the first post in this thread with the full program of events on fri eve.
