As much as I love my Mini, I've got to agree! The new one totally looks like a plastic toy. It's lost something alright. It's the Apple Mac version of the Mini! ;):D:D

Put the two side by side, and it's like looking at a Corgi model beside a plastic chinese import 'generic mini' you can buy in the market for £1.99..

Or, as I said elsewhere, it looks like it's now been targeted to a very specific demographic, and that group *isn't* the one which likes to add their own personal touches, modifications and go on runs with lots of friends.

It seems like the people that BMW want to buy the Mini now are the young affluent, 'Look at me, I must be cool, I have a Mini' bunch, who can just straight out afford to tick all the boxes...

I agree - Much as we all complain about the rattles and quirks - they are part of the charm of the current car - I really like some of the changes but overall the exterior is too "bulky" for my taste now and as for the aero kit.............yuk yuk yuk!!

Totally agree. Ewan has a good point about demographics, think this car is being targeted at a different group than when it was first launched. Not nice:disapprove:
