Hi all yup Ive gone and done it (well you probably knew I was getting something from my last posts) I've bought a new S . I have put on a picture from auto express of the car plus colour but I have put JCW wheels on it instead. Was hoping that you could all help me though on the graphics for the car , we were thinking if a chequer pattern starting on the bonnet sweeping over the wing and finishing at the back light just like the blue cooper in Menzies showroom but are undecided. If you have any ideas please post as we want to get this car looking right.:)

I don't think its really been hyped, from the reports I've read...
A wee bit bigger, bit better build quality, and more economical. Exterior looks almost the same major overhaul inside.

Jason not sure on the graphic's it's a shame to cover up such a super colour don't normally like blue cars

but this one in the day light is cracking.;)

Although you do have to make the car individual to you.[:h'mm how about checked roof in white and body colour and matching mirror caps won't work if you have specced a sunroof though.

Cant decide what to do, we will either put the bonnet graphics on it like the parklane or the checks on the side around the shark grill or maybe both

Hello Andy well I think you have been a good boy this year!, you have worked very hard and I should know as I see you putting in 4 hour a day at work so well done. As long as you keep your underwear in tiptop condition and clean your room then I just may bring you a new Cooper S.

Well, there you go..... All that polishing and it gets traded in. Although the first time you put your foot down it'll be fine.

I quite like this shade (as I've said elsewhere), and it'll look better with the JCW alloys - I'd like to see it with some nice BBS's. Don't know about the decals though.... might draw the eye to that high waist and big bum! (snigger.) NO CHEQUERS ON THE SIDE PLEASE!!! Well Tacky. Why not try it 'plain' for a wee while, and get it dressed up later if you feel it really needs it? Sometimes less is more.....

Look forward to seeing it soon - hope it gives you many thousands of safe & happy miles.

I do like the stripes. But with this being a completely new shape of bonnet, I'd have to agree with Stoney and so on. Get the car home, see how it grows on you, and add the stripes if you think it suits. I know it's easy enough to take them off, but it's cheaper to not put them on in the first place if it doesn't need them, than to put them on then realise you don't want them. I think you'll end up putting them on, but at least give yourself the chance to decide. All IMHO mate.

Sorry Gordon! No offence intended! I think your car looks fine. I was specifically thinking about Jason's new motor. Yours is a different, darker blue which carries it better. With Jason's shade I think there wouldn't be enough of a contrast and it might look a bit 'insipid'. I'm just not a big fan of stick-ons in general, as there are very few which actually improve the look of a car.

Jason, Bonnet Stripes might be OK. But later on, why not do a Marky C/Crombers and get the arches etc painted or something - bit more subtle/classy. And there'll be hardly any Mk.II's with that mod.

Right, I'm off to see who else I can inadvertently insult!

I think bonnet stripes would look very  plain is just that, especially on a cooper bonnet, no offence meant either 8)

Bonnie Scotland:
“Are you saying my vipers are tacky too?”
- Now you're putting words in my mouth. Never said such a thing. Anyway, they must be tacky, otherwise they'd just slide off when you moved. Look, you can stick furry fridge magnets to your motor if you like, as long as you're happy. Vive La Difference etc.

I've always fancied a big Saltire Flag, Airbrushed and Laquered, as if it's been draped over the bonnet & wings & airscoop. There's a wee Classic Mini down south with a Union Jack over the front - it's really well done and looks very realistic. If you're going to be tacky, you should do it PROPERLY!!!!
