Looking for some advice on this, my 53 plate Cooper S (20k miles) seems to have developed a majorly stiff clutch pedal since I last drove it (couple of months). Could it be on it's way out already? Seems to be biting quite near the top of the pedal and just doesnt feel very tip top. It hasn't started to slip just gone rock hard.

Any advice most welcome :)

Probably advise you to take it to a dealer Keith and let a Foreman have a drive.is it still under warranty? If its out of warranty speak to the dealer anyhow as they may be able to something, hope this helps.

Is the pedal on the MINI still connected by a cable to clutch - if so perhaps the cable is frayed. This used to happen a lot on my MK2 golf. At 20k miles the clutch should have plenty life left in it unless you never use the handbrake on hills!!:clown:

Many people have had their clutches replaced on the MINI early under warranty.
