Nothing. I have been working away for a couple of weeks and my car has been sitting doing nowt. I asked my dad to try starting the car to make sure all was well. He turned the key and the ignition lights up ok but just a click and nothing else. It just won't start

I reckon the immobiliser is armed, but why would this happen if the car has just been sitting. Beginning to think I have the worst built Mini ever.

Why couldn't the japanese have designed the Mini it would be a hell of a lot more reliable and well screwed together than BMW's effort!

Try rocking the car in gear, maybe the starter has seized out, also, disoconnect and reconnect the battery terminals, make sure they are clean, apply a little grease to the terminals too :)
Sounds like a bad earth or a dodgy starter

if it clicks then it means the battery is flat.. jump start it and you should be fine just go out for a 10minute blast... (clear the cobwebs out :P)
