Boot light on all the time

i have had my cooper s a month and I cant get the boot light to go out. Is this a trip to the dealer???

Could be a sticky switch give it a wee dab of wd40 might do the trick.

Hmm, how do you know it's on all the time :p if it is, wouldn't it drain the battery after a few days, does it not go off after a few seconds and also immediately after the alarm is activated

The boot light is meant to be linked to the interior lights. If its on, they're all on, and vice-versa. At least it was that way in all my MINIs...

its the light that tells you something isnt closed properly on the dash. The interior lights are turned off as they dont go out.. i've tried slamming all the doors, bonnet, boot.. no joy! :dead:

Sounds like a fault in the switch or wiring loom - trip to your dealer required methinks.
