This might just be my iPod as its old and I've not had a chance to test it with another one but..

Is it normal to have back ground noise almost like you used to get when playing an audio cassette, it disappears when the iPod is changing track and you don't notice it with 'dancey' type music, but when listening to 'vocally' type songs its there.

that is what happens when you put tracks on an AYE AYE Pod from a record player....

No this is not normal Should be Crystal clear....

make sure the connection is in all the way at teh back of the head unit or might be a fault in the connection on the Ipod..

Best try someone elses first I think........

Depends on the track - if a band has gone for old mics and stuff to get a vintage sound then the clarity of the iPod may just highlight this. If a dance track is all electronic synths then you wouldn't hear this.

Possibly :)

It happens with all tracks during the quiet bits. Still to try another iPod.

Doesn't happen with the same track from CD.

Must have been my iPod cause last night on way home it died. Can't get it to reboot, or connect to my computer.

So I have an iPod connector but no iPod
