View Full Version : Xmas Cracker 2 - December 29th
Crombers
7th October 2006, 06:22 AM
OK folks time for me to organise another wee blast after Santa & before the New Year Bells. Same idea as last year & much the same route except this time in reverse & by starting & finishin at Menzies (our ever helpful sponsors & good guys).
Friday 29/12 , names please :p;)
All roads are A-class and as such are salted in poor conditions (so no veering off into the unknown). Lunch will be at the Drovers Restaurant in the Crief Visitor Centre and is a "counter service" style establishment. It caters for all appetites from a full blown 3-course meal to a baked potato or a sarny (so the choice is all yours). There is also a kids menu. Attached is also a Garden Centre and kids play area for me & CraigD :D
We are then stopping for coffee/tea just after Lochernhead. Unfortunately nothing will be open (& if it's raining we're all buggered !!) but the scenery is cool so bring your own flasks folks (spare selection boxes would also be a welcome addition & santa may well rear his head one last time ;)

I hope you get the weather, in summer it cant be beat but it would be a blast anytime.
Just make sure you post plenty of pics of all the cars….. I can just see them all approaching Callander winding up the hill… then down again.

STONEY - you just head straight up to Cumbernauld for 9.30am, if I'm feeling better, I'll meet you guys there and then - if not, I have Crombers' Moby number, so I'll give you a shout. As I said, not a happy chappie, but the thought of having a blinding coughing fit on the road is not good. Don't fancy stuffing the new engine into a hedge, or somebody's new R56 boot.... I'll keep taking the medicine though, you never know - but you could still send me a naughty nurse, just to make sure.

good to see some of the usual suspects again, shame Mr Playmini couldn't make it.. so I settled being stuck ;);) behind the Scooby [;] Brilliant noise!
we even made it to IKEA in edinburgh and back home again.. and I survived with change from £20!! ;):D
we'd also like to thank the wee scrote in the black Puma (T 791 ASE)with the 17" alloys who tried to ram us coming back past dunfermline. he shot past us as I was pulling in from overtaking someone, I hadn't got the car across the white lines when he screamed past and pulled in right in front of us, so I quite reservedly flashed him, so he decided to thank me for letting him know whe was being dangerous by slamming his brakes on so we had to go round him, then swerving the car at us as we did. Charming young gentleman.:disapprove:
See y'all soon!! :):D

Aye but feel sorry for him he's driving a Puma! I had one when I worked for ford, and they thought I’d be delighted but just one day with it and a drive down to Greenock and I came back and gave them back the keys, I said sorry but I’ll use my Honda.
Truly awful car…..rear visibility, the door mirrors, the usual ford interior.
