I've been on on the big, its done a massive 1500 miles almost.

Just meant no-one had posted anything in the car care forum since 20th September, Mmmm car care forum, and I post a bike car thread.

But it was Dr Wul's recommendations put into practice on the bike

PACMAN
4th October 2006, 04:27 AM
He will have to re-name it for bike care your case :blackeye::p

1500 miles and not a bug on it... must have been going very slow :blackeye:;)

Slow what's slow? part of the reason for getting the mini was to allow me to have fun at slower speeds!

OBN

was a camera van on a flyover on the motor they had me on video, and thats the speed the recorded after i'd hit the brakes, cause the Porsche in front was braking!

My lawyer thought I'd get 6 points or a month ban at worst

Yep, in court basically if u had grey hair u got off.
One old guy had 6 points in his licence for 2 previous was got doing 95 in sixty judge said i should give u 6 points but then u'd be disqualified to i'll give u 5. I thought my lucks in, but then i got a 3 month ban for the same 35 over the limit

jeez and here is me never above 70mph.;)

Know a few guys who have lost their licence for doing 90 in a 60 on the A9 6 months ban.

The camera van waits just past the over taking lane (which i still 60mph) but everyone speeds like hell to get past the lorries then bang your done.:(

doesn't sound like a "black spot" to me which is where the camera vans should be

let me guess... no warming sign as per usual

There must be an accident black spot then on the M74 about 10 miles north of Gretna, even though there's no junctions and its miles away from civilization!

OBN

To be honest mate, after being hauled up in front of a judge in Dumfries, I wouldn't break the speed limit at all whilst in Dumfries and Galloway, unless you've got grey hair as that seemed to be the get out of jail free card.

sedgie
5th October 2006, 03:46 AM

what is the range on 14-15 litres ?

OBN
5th October 2006, 07:06 AM
Fuel light is on after about 100 miles, not pushed the reserve to max but probs about 20 miles if you take it easy.

After a 100 miles your glad of a fuel stop to stretch ur legs and arms

You should go for it Wul, then we can all benefit from your exceptional cleaning skills, now how do you keep the tyres and the chain clean?

Wul
6th October 2006, 04:01 PM
Well in the good old days I used to use gunk to clean off the chain lube overspray - try Muc Off - it's the bees knees and usually on offer in halfrauds in the BikeHut bit. :)
