It works!!!!!! After 7 years, 3 wiring looms, £2.5k and a lot of blood, tears and tantrums I finally got my Classic Mini to go! Woooohoooooo.

I am so happy, literally eveyr part of the rebuild has been done by myself.

The build so far goes.

Bought for £80 as a scrap 88 mayfair with ERA bodykit, painted windows and tiger skin seat covers, pretty it was not!

I have replaced and welded in the following.
boot floor
lower rear hinger panel
valance
subframe heel mounting panel
floors
inner sill
outer sill
jackin points
rear 1/4 panels
flitch pannels
scuttle
inner wing patching
outer wings
front panel
a panels
door skins
rebuilt the engine
new brake callipers and drums
new clutch slave
ball joints
track rod ends
steering rack
wheel bearings
custom wiring loom
90's cooper interior inc walnut dashboard
repainted in black cellulose with white roof (the latter is to be redone as I wasn't happy with the finish)
all new bright work
12*6" Black 4 spoke revolutions!
I love it!

Congratulations.

Nothing better than Knowing all your hard work meets the M.O.T. Requirements.

Well done can't wait to see the pics.

Spit and polish to take off teh Blue mist and swear words that get said around it?? and the blood ( ESPECIALLY ON THE BONNET CATCH...... Crater in my head because of them!!!!!)

All good though.

Meant to say, the roof is still in primer. I had painted in white before but put a cloth with brake fluid on it by mistake! had to rub it all down and re primer it. So far I have not bothered with the top coat!

Heather, you are welcome to try them on Stella to see how they look and how much metal would need to be cut out of the front panel! Give us a shout if you want.

cheers all for the comments. It did take 7 years but to be honest I never really touched it for 2 of them due to work and lack of motivation.
