i got new alloys for my mini yesterday and went to my local accessory shop to get a wheel seal,i was reccomended turtle wax wheel wax, which i must say is awesome,u spray it evenly on to the wheels wipe with a cloth, leave to dry to a haze, then buff off with a soft cloth,it puts a really good barrier on the rims which repels brake dust and makes wheels easier to clean, the best thing i noticed was the shine and how water just beads and runs right off.its very cheap too.big thumbs up from me.i usually go for the mega expensive stuff but this wax is well worth it

I am not going to tell you that WheelWax stops the build up of brake dust on the wheels - surely this is almost unavoidable unless you have ceramic brakes! However, what I will say is that with WheelWax applied it is far far easier to remove the brake dust with a quick clean - you can almost just spray the wheels with the hose!

I first started using WheelWax on my Mk4 anniversary golf which had those notorious BBS RC wheels on it. This is a post I found on Autopia after a quick search which shows very similar results to what I achieved http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61472&highlight=wheelwax

2 thin layers does work better than just one average layer. Misiting with water then at the end really does make a difference too!

I just polish my wheels with normal megs NTX or Auto glym super resin and it leaves them nice and smooth and with a good shine. It also makes them much easier to clean next time.

...try Poorboys wheel sealant. It takes some work but it's the best I've tried. I put 3-4 layers on a set of new alloys a while ago and they clean up a breeze..

you can find it here: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/ or ebay...

BR ;)

Try http://www.movit.de/ as they were working on ceramic brakes in general, not just for the mini ;).
