PC Software.......HELP.....

My computer was murdered then brought back to life a while ago.....have had no problems since, except that i've just realised I no longer have software to watch DVDs and no software to burn CDs.

Being the cheapskate that I am....I was hoping someone could 'lend' me software discs?! go on go on :p

I *did* have some Power DVD and Nero discs lying around.. bu they seem to have er... vanished ;);):D
