well my car was booked in 2day for the wing mirror 2 get pained after the a pillor came off and hit it !!!! so off i went this moring 2 give them my car and pick up a curstasy car 2 be told they did not have a car for me but they would still take the car for the body shop so i said how do i get 2 my work and back ??? i dont know they said so at that i told them they would have 2 re book my car in !!!!! so it is now monday dont know why they wont njust replace the cover do u pepes think they will look the same ?? i dont and have told bmw this thay have also been told if i am not happy with it they will be geting it back till they give me a new cap !!!!!!!:mad: any way rant over for now well till monday till the next time i go in 2 dp's :mad:

Rob, the match should be perfect. If it's BMW paint it really should match.

Not sure why on earth tey are painting it though. Would have thought it would have been cheaper all round just to order a new cap in.

I'd go along with what Andy says. Don't get why this would have to be a 'Spray Job'. Am I missing something here? What colour's the Mirror Cap? Didn't it come with the car in one of the BMW Option colours? eg White? If it's white, surely they just replace it with another white one? They must have stocks of these - I mean you can order them chrome, chequered etc as 'accessories'. SHOULD be a 5 minute clip-in job. Can't be THAT simple can it? I must not be getting this one......

I've always found Douglas Park to be fairly good, with a couple of semi-negative incidents, but that's run of the mill for any dealer I reckon. They sorted out my back wheel clicking noise last year - fitted new brakes and everything and then replaced what turned out to be a faulty bearing - all F.O.C. and no quibbles. They also ignore my Playmini gear Re TLC etc. Hope you get this one sorted - sorry if I've got the wrong end of the (gear)stick!

if they do paint it and it's anything like my sill it will look crap.would have been better going to my local playschool and letting the kids paint it in the rain!
