The article has been changed! When I read it yesterday, there was a line in it stating that his passenger was also a disqualified driver.

Yeah it did say the passenger was an "alleged" disqualified driver, the article in the paper also said his main defence was that "the passenger was providing him with direction and speed information and that was enough to ensure that he was driving safely".
