This subject started in the Site Feedback forum so though ti would be best moved here.

Severance - Looks wicked.:D Opened on the 25th August on a fairly small number of prints so we wont be getting it.:(

Wicker Man - opens tomorrow. Look nasty, but good stuff:D

Crank - 1st September. Jason Statham in the film that Transporter 2 should have been:question:

An Inconvenient Truth - 15th September. Looks scarier than Wicker Man.

World Trade Center - 29th September. Maybe a bit over Hollywood-ised.

The Devil Wears Prada - 5th October. Looks very funny.

Borat - 3rd November. Look the dogs danglies. I'm not an Ali G fan, but Sacha Baron Cohen is fantastic in this unusual comedy.

Bond, James Bond.... Casino Royale - 17th November. I know, I know.. He's not Pierce. And when he was launched I wasn't keen either. However, have you seen the trailer? He actually may just pull it off....;)

Let the discussions begin....

Severance, Wicker Man both look ace - big Nincholas Cage fan too, and any Brit horror/ comedy flick with Nick Frost anywhere near it *WILL* be good, not just cos Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright (see Sean of the Dead) will have been around, if not an influence.

Crank should be a giggle too, in a cheesy sorta way.

Not heard anything about 'Inconvenient Truth' so I can't say nowt :D

The other's I'll probably pass on, especially the WTC one. Was reading something online last week about it (I'm pretty sure it was this film. If not a similar one). The film was about one of the rescue workers, it was written and cast, then when it was *all done and filmed* someone actually noticed the 'true character' it was based on was a black guy, it had been written and cast as a white bloke. Anyway, I ain't seeing it, why does the subject need MORE publicity?
We all know what happened, a hollywood film about it certainly isn't going to be factually enlightening.

I really want to see Snakes on a Plane too, purely because how keen Samuel L Jackson was to be inviolved with the project
:D I'd MUCH rather see that than have to suffer the WTC one.

LNL, WTC stars Nic Cage.:D

Can't imagine the Wicker Man being any good. Hollywood re-makes of classics tend to be bollocks!

Does it? ah FFS <rolls eyes>
Ah well, still won't be going to see it, I was in the States when it happened, don't need to see a Hollywood glamourisation to remind myself of the carnage and disruption and loss of life!
It seems a callous way for a film company to make money.

generally, but NC might just pull it off. It certainly won't be too scary as Ellie pointed out last night, the trailer has a clip of a scene with a little girl wearing a Beard of Bees!! Ooooooooooo!! :D:D:D

So true.

The Ladykillers, Get Carter....the list goes on.
Infact almost all British Films remade by Hollywood tend to be toe-curlingly bad. The Italian Job gets pass marks - the star is again, the car :D

Wow, I didnt know they were going to bring out a Borat film. I love Borat.

He is so much better than AliG.

remember these famous lines, (imagine them in a Borat style voice)
this man he call me Steve, he wear leather trousers and stand in kingcross. brilliant

Put me down for a ticket for that one. Will prob have to go myself as Sarah hates all the comedy stuff I am into, such as Alan Partrige and Monty Python.

I fancy watching the James Bond. you could incorporate that film into a mini run.

We use it for getting a first look at trailers long before they arive in the cinema.

They are actually such good quality, we now download them, dump them to a DVD and play them on our 42" plasma in the foyer with leader boards saying "Now Showing" or "Coming Soon".

Still haven't managed to see this trailer. Loved Sean Of The Dead too. We're running the trailer in the cinema, just haven't had time to see it. And for once it seems to be one that we get in the cinema before it's available on-line.... unless someone can show me otherwise???:)
