I have an old nokia 3310, which is locked for t-mobile, any clues how to unlock it without getting cables etc.

See this (http://www.unlockme.co.uk/dct3unlocking.html) website for info, but the simple answer is it needs a cable - there's no unlock code for that type of handset.

If you go down to the Barrowland area .... the same street has lots of shops selling mobiles/ and stuff like that the also offer unlocking ... I had my old Sony unlocked in Motherwell ...£12

Excellent - seems the original site needs to be updated then!
I've had a 7210, and a 6230 unlocked for free through the unlockme website forum.
Much better than trusting your phone in a market, and paying for it too! ;):D

You do not need a cable.

The following site gives an unlock code for free.....

www.trycktill.com/eng/unlock_swe.asp

Ive used it a couple of times, it has worked perfectly each time.
