Sorry i missed this :I when changing rear springs and shocks you should always replace them in pairs.
You can try the rebound technique, press one side of the car as far down as you can manage then let go and see how the car bounces back, try on the other side and compare.
Also, using the finger technique :I see how many fingers you can put under the wheel arch and down against the tyre, they should be the same on both sides.
There is a chance that the different tyes are not helping, again, you should always try and have the same tyre on each axle.
Get your steering wheel set correctly, this will tell you if there is any other damage not picked up from the accident.

yeah im thinking get the streeing checked as after switchiing the tyres comparing to my mates cooper (the bit where my wheel turns more one way and less the other) it was fine for 6 weeks after the accident and all the damge was at the rear end and the workshop never touched the front of the car

but if its the suspension i may just get some better coilovers
