Right folks. Amazingly my mum and dad are now going to join the MP3 player revolution. They'd asked me what MP3 playe I'd recommend and I immediately said and i-pod since they're dead easy to use, good quality etc, HOWEVER, it occurs to me that there may be alternatives that I've not really thought about. They're only going to use it for a few albums I'd imagine. It has to be small and dead easy to use. I don't think masses of memory is a requirement but I suppose bunging all their music on a played in a oneer would save me a lot of questions in the future. Anyone got any advice? :)

What do they want it for?

There are MP3 players with MUCH better battery life, but ipods are so easy to use and look great, so it depends what the use is.

I'd go with an ipod, just get an extended warranty on it. Apparently there's a new model coming out really soon, so it might be worth them hanging off for a wee bit and get a good deal on the current generation.{;)]
